what a cool lady!.. well, horse lady.

she's beautiful. lots of character, great pose and fantastic warm colors. i love her clothes and accessories, both color-wise and design and the plumpness of her front thighs is great. the hind legs aren't as well defined\stylized and a bit too close but the solid and simple coloring makes it barely noticeable.
i like how the background frames and supports her and its solid and detailed as usual. except for the rushed grass that kinda sticks out compared to the otherwise tight lines and colors. u should try working more with costumed brushes, they add texture and interest with minimum effort. i myself cant get enough of them!
and i also dont really like that tree. i mean, i understand why u chose it composition-wise but the broken naked branch followed by a thick canopy of leaves doesn't feel right... but the similarity between it and the hair and tail works well

also, maybe u should've added some more green back light. i think the blue is a little weak and lifeless. i can especially see it on her neck and top of the forehead. not sure if im right though, i just recently saw a great DVD about light and color and im trying to implement it.

but obviously its a brilliant piece. its amazing to see how well u understand anatomy, perspective, color and all that technical crap in such a short time. im still struggling with it myself so i may be a little jealous
